We are tidying up the future theatre

4 January 2024

As part of the ongoing revitalization of the Stara Rzeźnia, thorough cleaning was carried out in the future Entertainment and Theater Hall. It is very well known to fans of theater performances, for example from the phenomenal production of Hamlet directed by Maja Kleczewska.

Industrial tiles and floors, dating back to the communist times, were recycled. This is the first step in a long process that will result in giving Poznań a beautiful space for meetings, business, work and relaxation.

“We started the work by cleaning the internal facades of traces from the period of the Polish People’s Republic, including paneling, plaster and industrial ceramics,” says the investor’s representative, Michał Wojciechowski, Senior Project Manager at VastintPoland. “The aim of these works is to restore the floors and walls to the condition they had when construction was completed over 120 years ago and to begin proper maintenance of the building substance. The next step will be the renovation of historic villas, which we will turn into real gems. This will be a foretaste for residents of what we want to achieve in the entire area of the former meat processing plant. We will keep Poznań residents informed about the progress of work”.
